Thank you to the volunteers helping drive cancer research
Behind every successful fundraiser is a team of people choosing to make a difference.
We want to thank the incredible volunteers who have supported Icon Cancer Foundation fundraising events over the years.
Many are Icon Cancer Centre Australia team members who generously give their time and energy to help raise funds for cancer research.
Whether it’s helping at an event, selling raffle tickets, participating in a fun run, or stepping in wherever support is needed, every contribution matters.
To every volunteer who has supported Icon Cancer Foundation- thank you.
Icon Cancer Centre Redland team
The Icon Cancer Centre Redland team proudly participated in this year’s annual Run for Research, hosted by On Pace Multisport. Together, Team Red walked along the Lota waterfront, wearing Icon Cancer Foundation t-shirts and handcrafted pins (made by team member Joanie) to raise awareness for cancer research.
Maria – Clinical Research Coordinator at Icon Cancer Centre Toowoomba
Volunteers offer support behind the scenes, but some also help behind the camera.
Thank you to Maria Ta, Clinical Research Coordinator at Icon Cancer Centre Toowoomba, who has generously offered her photography skills to capture the stories, smiles and memorable moments at several events.
Icon Cancer Centre South Brisbane, Chermside and Icon Group Research team
Going the extra mile for a great cause, Icon team members and their families travelled to Maryvale to support a remarkable community fundraiser that raised $26,000 for cancer research.
Among the volunteers was one of our youngest supporters, Pheonix, who enthusiastically helped sell raffle tickets throughout the day.
Caitlin – Clinical Nurse at Icon Cancer Centre South Brisbane
Determination on two wheels. Despite being new to cycling, Icon Cancer Centre Clinical Nurse Caitlin Pert joined the Icon Allsorts team to tackle the Hutchies Challenge Ride, helping raise vital funds while taking on an incredible personal challenge.
Icon Cancer Centre Springfield team
Running with purpose, the Icon Cancer Centre Springfield team and their family members took part in the 10km for $10k event, hosted by Harcourts Greater Springfield.
Their participation and shared commitment to supporting their patient Rudy, helped raise over $11,000 for cancer research at ICF.
Caitlin and Clare – Icon Cancer Centre Nurses South Brisbane
After completing a nursing shift at Icon Cancer Centre South Brisbane, Caitlin Pert and Clare Smith offered to spend their evening volunteering at the Life-saving List Gala.
The evening was particularly meaningful for them, as they had each cared for Liam throughout his treatment at Icon Cancer Centre. Their dedication reflects the commitment shown by so many of our volunteers who continually go above and beyond to support cancer research.
Icon Group Core Services and Research team
Anna, Meghan and Zoe from Icon Group’s Marketing and Research teams joined The Australian College of Perioperative Nurses (ACORN) annual charity nurses walk along the Brisbane River in South Bank.
This year’s walk was held in memory of Icon Cancer Centre patient and perioperative nurse, Lesley Stewart, and raised funds for research through Icon Cancer Foundation.
To every volunteer who has supported Icon Cancer Foundation over the years: thank you.
Whether you’ve volunteered at an event, shared your skills, fundraised, ridden, run, walked or simply lent a helping hand, you’ve helped turn hope into action. Thank you.
