Run for Research 2026

Icon Cancer Foundation / 30 Mar, 2026

On Sunday, 29 March Icon Cancer Foundation (ICF) joined On Pace Multisport for the third annual Run for Research.

Friends, family and running buddies gathered along the beautiful Lota waterfront to raise funds for cancer research and honour the memory of Phil Griff, who received care at Icon Cancer Centre. Learn more about Phil’s story.

The Icon Cancer Centre Redland team came out in full support, proudly representing ICF in purple polos (with a splash of red for team Redland) and wearing handcrafted pins made by team member Joanie.

The afternoon felt light and joyful as participants – and puppies – enjoyed the bayside breeze while coming together for an important cause.

For Phil’s wife Sheree, it was exactly what Phil would have wanted. “This event is about celebration. Smiling, moving and celebrating life – that’s Phil’s legacy,” said Sheree.

ICF is deeply grateful for the ongoing support of On Pace Multisport and their community. A special thank you to Phil’s family, Sheree and daughters Jorja and Caitlin, for inviting ICF to be a part of honouring his legacy.

Community events like the Run for Research play a vital role in supporting cancer research at ICF. Every donation helps drive research forward, expand access to clinical trials, and give hope to people living with cancer today and in the future.
