Icon Cancer Foundation (ICF) extend its sincere thanks to everyone who supported this year’s appeal, which raised an outstanding $47,000 for cancer research.
Every donation plays a vital role in advancing cancer care. The funds raised will directly support research and clinical trials designed and led by Icon’s network of dedicated healthcare professionals and researchers, who care for patients every day across Icon Cancer Centres in Australia.
This investigator-initiated research focuses on real-world clinical questions and supports trials that may not otherwise receive funding, helping to expand treatment options, improve outcomes and enhance quality of life for patients.
ICF also thanks Icon Cancer Centre Hobart patient Katie, who bravely shared her story as part of this year’s appeal. Katie’s willingness to share her experience living with stage 4 bowel cancer helped highlight the importance of continued research in providing patients with access to new treatment options and more time with their loved ones.
A special mention also goes to Icon Group Head Office team member Jade Sorensen, whose head shave fundraiser, inspired by her best friend’s recent diagnosis with glioblastoma earlier this year, raised $7,500 towards the appeal.
