Released to coincide with World Cancer Research Day, the report highlights a year of significant growth for ICF and the impact philanthropic support is having on cancer research across the Icon Cancer Centre network in Australia.
During 2025/26, ICF supported 18 clinician-led studies across 12 treatment centres, with 287 patients participating in ICF-funded clinical trials and invested in three specialist research roles.
The year also marked ICF’s strongest year of philanthropic investment to date, providing a stronger platform to increase support for clinician-led research and help build the capability needed to expand access to clinical trials and emerging therapies.
A defining moment was the $2.5 million gift from the Talbot Foundation, the largest donation in ICF’s history. This investment will help strengthen research infrastructure, build research capability and enhance clinical readiness for the next generation of cancer treatments.

Our donors and community fundraisers provide the philanthropic support that enables research ideas to progress. And our research participants generously contribute their time and experiences to help build evidence that may improve care for future patients.
