This Privacy Policy outlines the information that Icon Cancer Foundation Limited (ABN 77 050 408 878) (we, us, or our) collects through www.iconcancerfoundation.org.au, our charitable activities and in accordance with this policy, and how we use that information, so you can decide whether and how you wish to provide information to us.

In adopting this Privacy Policy, our intent is to balance our legitimate commercial and fundraising interests in collecting and using information obtained through the Foundation with your reasonable expectations of privacy. What information Icon Cancer Foundation collects

Personally Identifiable Information: Personal data is collected when users voluntarily provide information to www.iconcancerfoundation.org.au, for example in registering for e-mail communications, leaving feedback, providing messages of support or making donations to the Foundation or other services. Patient Information

The Foundation collects personal information such as contact details (name and email address) from Icon Cancer Centre patients who have provided their consent through the Patient Experience Survey. If at any time a patient no longer wants to receive information from the Foundation, they can unsubscribe.

The Foundation also collects personal stories from people who have experienced or are experiencing cancer, and use them on the website, social media and promotional materials. This information is only used with direct consent from the individual, and this consent can be withdrawn at any time.


Use and disclosure of information

We may use and disclose your personal information for the purpose for which it was collected, including related secondary purposes, and for other purposes authorised by you or required by law.

Examples of uses and disclosures of your personal information may include:

  • for receipting and management of donations
  • for the purposes of complying with any applicable laws, responding to a subpoena or compulsory reporting to State or Federal authorities (e.g. law enforcement or public health and safety circumstances)
  • to third-party service providers who manage some of the services we offer
  • if it is necessary information for the purposes of protecting a child from the risk of physical or psychological harm
