Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Icon Group
Ross has 15 years experience in group level CFO roles supporting significant growth and preparing private equity backed companies for an exit process. He has worked in healthcare for 8 years across audiology, dental and most recently, cancer care.
He has broad experience in leadership, operations and finance, both locally and overseas, across a number of industries with a solid foundation via seven years’ experience at Price Waterhouse Coopers. He has led two private equity investments as CFO through a dual track process resulting in a trade sale, integrating these businesses into the acquiring groups as regional CFO.
His experience centres around business establishment, growth and integration – undertaking over 40 mergers and acquisitions, debt raising of over $600m and equity raising of over $450m, as well as overseeing administration, IT, human resources and legal for companies operating both in Australia, and globally.
In his current role as Group CFO, Ross is responsible for debt and equity raising. Since joining Icon Group, Ross has established the Core Services Team out of 3 businesses supporting the broader Icon Group, completed 6 acquisitions and refinanced the group into a 3-bank $210m facility.
Ross has also had continuous involvement in the community via pro-bono roles of six years as Treasurer for Telstra Child Flight, the babies and infants emergency helicopter service, and five years as Appeals Committee Member for the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.
He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BEcon and MCom (Professional Accounting) from Macquarie University. Ross has also completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
